On June 14, 2016, at approximately 11:00 PM, officers of the Amarillo Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Louisiana on multiple shots fired and one person shot.  Officers arrived and found a large crowd at the park and a man dead in the roadway near the curb.  It appeared the victim had a gunshot wound to the upper body.  The victim was identified as Maxwell Wilson, age 19.  As the investigation progressed, it was learned there was another shooting victim at a local hospital.  That victim was treated for his injuries and released.  An autopsy will be performed in Lubbock on the morning of the 15th.
