We are seeing cloudy skies across the area to start this Wednesday. The clouds are coming from New Mexico from showers that were ongoing last night. The rain hit the dry air in Texas & fizzled out. We are seeing the leftover clouds from those showers. They will clear off by mid-morning & we’ll be left with mostly sunny skies this afternoon. Lubbock will see a high of 90°, just a degree above average.

Clouds will be on the increase tonight. It will be partly cloudy, with wind at 10-15 mph. Those clouds will be enough to trap warmer air here at the surface. That will affect lows, keeping them in the mid 60s. The clouds clear off earlier tomorrow, then we’ll be left with mostly sunny skies & warmer air. Lubbock will see a high of 92°, that’s two degrees above the average of 90°.
