The Mustangs met Alpine in game one of the series Thursday night in Midland for a rematch of last year’s regional quarterfinals.
The Mustangs started off hot with 3 runs in just the first inning. Shallowater continued their run holding off Alpine and scoring 3 more to make it 6-0 in just the 3rd. The Mustangs were on a roll as they took down Alpine easily 10-0 in game one, shutting out the Bucks.
