UPDATE: Texas Tech has announced their September 10th game at Arizona State will kick off at 9pm CT on FS1.
Texas Tech, in conjunction with the Big 12 Conference, ESPN and Fox Sports Net, announced four 2016 football kickoff times on Wednesday.
The 2016 season will kick off Sept. 3 vs. Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Net. The Red Raiders’ second home contest, the Sept. 17 tilt with Louisiana Tech, will feature a 6 p.m. kickoff on Fox Sports Net.
The Red Raiders’ third home tilt of the season, a Thursday-night matchup with Kansas on Sept. 29, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Fox Sports 1 will broadcast that game as well.
Tech will begin the 2016 home campaign with three-straight night games on the heels of a 2015 season in which the Red Raiders did not play a home game with a kickoff scheduled for later than 3:45 p.m. CT.
Tech’s Nov. 25 matchup with Baylor is slated for a 5 p.m. CT start inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will be televised by ESPN.
The remaining conference games on Texas Tech’s schedule will be announced throughout the season on either a 12 or six-day basis. Every home Big 12 football game will be available for telecast in accordance with the conference’s 13-year long joint agreement with FOX Sports and ESPN.
