The weekend is going to see drastically different weather conditions. A strong cold front will blow through the area after midnight on Saturday morning. That is going to bring in more clouds, as well as wind. The wind will gust to 25 mph. We’ll see some isolated thunderstorms through the day Saturday, with coverage being 20%. Only one, out of eight different computer forecasts shows significant rain for all. So, that is why I am sticking with 20% for now.
With that cold front coming in, we’ll only see highs ina the mid 70s for Lubbock, with 60s northwest & mid 70s east. But, Sunday is looking to be the coolest day of the week. There will be cloudy skies, with a leftover shower, or storm through 1:00 pm. Coverage will only be 10%. However, Lubbock is looking at a high of only 67° during the day. Wind at 10-15 mph will make things feel cooler, too!
