A 17-year-old Crawford teen has been arrested on charges of possession and promotion of child pornography and aggravated sexual assault of a child following an investigation by Crawford Police.

Donnie Wayne Howard was booked into the McLennan County Jail on Monday and is being held on $1.25 million bond.

Court papers filed in the case refer to a Crawford Police Department investigation beginning in April after being notified by a Child Protective Services case worker of an allegation of sexual abuse.

Affidavits filed in support of a request for arrest warrants contained information of forensic interviews conducted at the Waco Advocacy Center with a six year old female telling of being photographed with no clothes on.
Other affidavits included accusations of sexual activity with an eight-year-old boy with that activity being recorded on video and shared over an internet site known as KIK.

Court papers filed by police chief Clayton Bruton detailed interviews conducted with victims and the suspect that lead to the arrest, including allegations that the eight year old victim was threatened with being hit if he told anyone.

Howard has been charged with three counts of possession of child pornography, one count of possession and promotion of child porn and two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
