Coronado traveled to Amarillo to play in a mid week game.
Both teams knocking runs in early, but Coronado behind as Amarillo led 2-1 at the end of the 3rd. Amarillo continues their tear, keeping Coronado held to just one run as they scored three more to make it 5-1 in the 6th. Coronado wasn’t going down easy though, fighting back in the 6th with 3 runs of their own to make it a 5-4 game, and that’s where it would end. The Mustangs fought hard, but couldn’t outdo Amarillo this go round as they take the game 5-4.
Coronado gets back after it Friday when they take on Monterey at home.
