The Texas Department of Public Safety has released the identities of two drivers killed during a three-vehicle wreck in Coleman County Monday afternoon.
Roberto A. Rodriguez, 37, of Mission, Texas, and Brittany Dawn Grove, 24, of Voss, Texas, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
DPS says Rodriguez was traveling east on Hwy 84 just outside of Coleman around 2:00 p.m. when he lost control of his pickup truck due to the wet road surface which caused him to slide across the highway and strike Grove’s car which was traveling west down Hwy 84. Rodriguez’s truck then bounced off Grove’s car and crashed into a third vehicle.
Rodriguez’s passenger was transported to the hospital to receive treatment for critical injuries, and the driver of the third vehicle was transported to the hospital as well but has since been released.
