The victim of a homicide in Abilene Sunday morning has been identified.

Family members say Ryan Roberts, 32, was shot and killed around 1:00 a.m.

Emergency crews found him deceased at a home on the 900 block of Merchant Street. A second victim located at a residence in north Abilene was transported to the hospital. This victim was in critical condition when BigCountryHomepage.com was last updated on his status.

Manuel Guadalupe Garcia, 20, is wanted in connection to this case. The Abilene Police Department is considering him a person of interest who is, “considered armed and extremely dangerous,” according to a press release from APD which urges citizens to, “not approach [Garcia] under any circumstances.”

Garcia has two active felony warrants for his arrest, one for a parole violation and the other is a federal warrant for possession of methamphetamine. 

Roberts’ body has been taken to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed.

Police are asking, “anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Manuel Garcia should contact the Abilene Police Department by utilizing 911 or 325-673-8331 or Crime Stoppers at 325-676-8477 (676-TIPS) immediately.”
