The Coronado Mustangs hosted Amarillo in a district game on Tuesday at Rosenow Field.
Coronado got the bats going early, scoring two runs in the opening frame on RBI doubles by Kaitlynn Dawson and Courtney Barnhill. The Mustangs would go on to win 9-5.
Next up for Coronado, they will visit Monterey on Thursday.
