Today: Expect partly sunny skies through the remainder of the afternoon with a good mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs will be around normal for this time of year, in the mid to upper 60s. Winds will stay breezy from the northeast at 10-20 mph.
Tonight: By the evening, we’re looking at mostly cloudy conditions, with isolated showers as this low pressure system continues to move to the northeast and out of Texas. The Rolling Plains and places off the Caprock have the best chance to see this precipitation, but it could make it as far west as Lubbock. Temperatures will drop into the lower 40s with northeasterly winds shifting to the northwest after midnight at 5-15 mph.
Extended: We will dry up by Saturday afternoon and temperatures will begin a warming trend. Temperatures will be in the mid and upper 70s this weekend and even hit the lower 80s on Monday. This is some perfect weekend weather, especially for those starting their spring break vacation.
Have a great weekend!
