Happy Tuesday everyone! It has been a very windy day across the South Plains with cooler temperatures and sunshine returning. Despite our large temperature drop over the past 24 hours, we have another quick warm up on the way with highs jumping back into the upper 80’s and low 90’s on your Wednesday. It will be another dry and breezy day in the area, but showers and thunderstorms return late Wednesday night and continue on and off through Memorial Day. Our next chance for severe storms will be on Thursday. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the majority of the region under the Slight Risk Category with large hail, damaging wind gusts, and flooding as our biggest threats. Over the weekend, storm chances will start to taper off and we will see nice conditions for Memorial Day.
