Amarillo Police have arrested two people in connection with shooting and robbery early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred outside of the Western Horsemen Club Bar, located at 2501 Interstate 40, around 1:00 a.m.
Authorities say the victim was walking toward the bar when he was shot in the back of the head. The victim told the officers the shooter then took his wallet and left the scene.
Late Sunday evening, officers went to a home in the 1700 block of South Roosevelt where they located the victim’s wallet and a handgun.
Samuel Mascorro, 28, and Amber Gomez, 27, were arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center. Both are charged with aggravated robbery pending filing of formal charges.
The victim, a 76-year-old male, remains hospitalized. Amarillo Police have not released the victim’s name.
