Started the day off with some showers, but those quickly cleared up in the afternoon hours and left us with a partly cloudy day. Temperatures stayed below 90 degrees today, because of that cloud cover. That put us below average for the normal high this time of year. Temperatures right now in the mid to high 70s, but it does feel a bit warmer and sticky out there due to higher dew points and moisture still in the air. Winds moving out of the South anywhere from 5-15 miles per hour.
Beginning tomorrow, we will see a warming trend back into the 90s with sunny skies. Temperatures will continue to stay this way through next weekend. The warm up is due to high pressure that is building in across North and West Texas. Most of the moisture we saw this past week has moved to our West, pushing storms into New Mexico.
Looks like a great week to enjoy the sunshine here in the South and Rolling Plains!
