Zoe Campos was reported missing to Lubbock Police in November 2013. Since then, her family has not given up hope that she will be brought home.

Saturday, July 11, Zoe’s mom, Melinda Campos, is organizing a search at Lowrey Field to pass out fliers and work to get Zoe’s face and name back out in the community in hopes that it will lead to answers.

Recently, Campos said there have been more tips coming in, giving her more hope.

“Now that we’re getting all these tips, it’s brought my hope and my faith, I mean I’ve always had faith that she was gonna be here, that I was going to get her back, but now I’ve got another level of hope that it’s getting close, that I’m going to get her back,” she said.

According to Campos, the last place Zoe’s phone pinged was within a 1 mile radius near Lowrey Field, which is why they are starting their search there.

Campos hopes someone will come forward with information that will help bring her daughter home.

Campos also expressed some frustration with Lubbock Police.

“I’m actually pretty frustrated. I’m really frustrated and disappointed in our police department. I’ve had to go out and pay for my own investigators to come, and our own team to come, and I’m still paying,” she said.

“I’m tired of just sitting here with my arms folded, and hoping that they’re doing their job. I don’t feel as, I don’t feel as, that I can count on that, anymore. Because it’s going to be two years, two years too long, for this little girl to be out there, and I just feel like, nobody’s doing anything,” Campos said.

KLBK News reached out to police, and is still waiting for an update on the investigation from Lubbock Police.
