Sasha Bennett has been named the principal of Lubbock-Cooper ISD’s West Elementary. Bennett previously served five years as the assistant principal at Willow Bend Elementary in Frenship ISD. She is a native of Lubbock and a graduate of Lubbock Christian University. Bennett has 18 years of experience in public education, serving as a teacher, instructional specialist, and assistant principal.
“Lubbock-Cooper West is a campus known for the quality of education it provides for its students,” Bennett said. “High standards for staff and students are the expectation, and my goal is to continue and build upon that legacy alongside the faculty and parents at West.”
West Elementary opened in 2008 under the leadership of retiring principal Cherie Nettles.
