LUBBOCK, Texas — A Lubbock Police car was involved in a crash Thursday morning at FM 1585 and Avenue L.  

Police said at about 7:30 another vehicle hit the police car, which then veered into the concrete curb at the front corner of a building.  Police said at first the driver of the other vehicle left.  But then, the driver came back.  

According to the LPD front desk, there were no injuries and no arrests.  The location is just outside city limits according to a map on the city’s website. 

UPDATE 3:48 p.m. – The following is a statement from the Lubbock Police Department: 

This morning just after 7:30 a.m., on FM 1585 near Avenue L, a Lubbock police car and pickup truck were involved in a crash. The pickup truck turned onto FM 1585 in front of the police car traveling east. In order to avoid hitting the pickup truck, the officer veered to the right and hit two poles. No injuries were reported.
