Disney and Pixar team up again with Inside Out, opening this weekend. It’s the story of Riley, an 11-year-old girl who has to move from the Midwest to San Francisco, and her emotions… four very colorful characters… try to help her through the life-changing crisis.
Already getting rave reviews, the PG-13 Comedy runs an hour-forty, and you can get in Riley’s head at Tinseltown, Premiere, Stars and Stripes, and out at the Alamo.
Lubbock Community Theatre opens their production of the musical “13” this weekend. 13-year-old Evan Goldman has to move from New York City to Appleton, Indiana. He has to make a whole new set of friends as he plans to put on the best bar mitzvah the tiny town has ever seen.
The show runs this and next weekend only, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m.. The theatre is at 43rd and Boston, and you can get your under-$20 tickets at lubbockcommunitytheatre.org. And this Sunday, fathers who attend with their children or wives get in free!
Lubbock Moonlight Musicals continues its run of “Shrek: The Musical.” All your favorite movie characters from the movie come to real-life on stage, and you already know the story.
The show is out at the Moonlight Musicals Amphitheater in Mackenzie Park. Gates open at 7:00 p.m., and the show starts at 8:00 p.m.. Adult tickets start at $20, and children younger than 10 tickets start at $7, all available through Select-a-Seat.
