A new study suggested women who exercise during pregnancy can help their child’s metabolic health.  Researchers at Washington State University found offspring born to lab mice exercising during pregnancy were less likely to gain weight even after consuming a high-fat diet.

Doctors in West Virginia said the compound that makes spicy foods hot may help slow the spread of lung cancer. Researchers observed that capsaicin, which is found in chili peppers, helped keep cancer cells from spreading to other organs. 

The American Academy Of Pediatrics warned children with respiratory infections treated via video link may be at extra risk of getting overprescribed when it comes to antibiotics. A study found a 21% spike in antibiotic prescriptions during virtual visits.
