Things look good for Texas Tech to get into the NCAA Tournament, even with a loss to No. 10 West Virginia Wednesday night.
Tech fell 90-68, and they’ll need to clean up the turnovers before they get to the Big 12 Championships, not to mention do a better job crashing the boards. Last night, 34 of the Mountaineers points came off of turnovers and they tallied 15 second attempts at the basket.
Part of it was uncharacteristic of the Red Raiders of late, part of it was West Virginia’s physicality. But that’s partly the reason the Big 12 is so tough. Even head coach Tubby Smith declared the conference the toughest league he’s ever coached in.
