Special Olympics Texas’ (SOTX) coldest event of the year, the Polar Plunge, is coming to Ashmore Inn & Suites on Saturday, Feb. 20.  Those brrrrrave enough to take the plunge can register online now or on-site, starting at 9:00 a.m. Plunging will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Those plunging are encouraged to wear a costume and dare a friend to join!

The cost to plunge is $35 for children (under 18) and $65 for adults. The fee include a t-shirt.  The cold sensation will last temporarily, but the impact made on more than 1,200 local children and adults with intellectual disabilities will last a lifetime.

Individuals and teams who raise more money than the minimum registration fee will receive other commemorative incentives, including a long-sleeved t-shirt, six-pack cooler, blanket and a duffel bag for each donation level they meet. (The more money a plunger raises, the more incentives he/she receives!)

Awards will be presented to the individual that raises the most money, team that raises the most money and to the individual with the Best Costume following the plunges, so come dressed to impress!

All proceeds from this Polar Plunge will go on to help provide programming and training for SOTX athletes in the South Plains area.
