A Merkel man is behind bars after a mother accused him of illegally tattooing her daughter who is under the age of fourteen.
Joshua Henderson, 30, is in the Taylor County Jail on charges including tattooing without a license and Injury to a Child in connection to this crime. He’s being held on bonds totaling over $26,000.
Investigators filed a warrant to search Henderson’s home at the Shannon Side apartments on the 800 block of North 7th Street after this mother came forward with allegations against him.
Court documents say the mother noticed a tattoo on her daughter she did not give permission for her daughter to have.
The daughter told her mother and police she was tattooed by Henderson, according to the documents which claim the daughter believes he had a tattoo gun and supplies under his bed.
