Southcrest Christian School proudly welcomes the Benghazi survivors to Lubbock for an evening celebrating faith, family and freedom. The patriotic event will take place Friday, April 8th, at the City Bank Auditorium. Doors open at 6 p.m.

On Sept. 11, 2012, Islamic terrorists attacked the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, killing Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and Sean Smith, an officer for the Foreign Service.

Three soldiers – Kris “Tanto” Paronto, Mark “Oz” Geist and John “Tig” Tiegen – fought to repel the attackers and protect the Americans stationed there. These brave men went beyond the call of duty, performing extraordinary acts of courage and heroism, to avert tragedy on a much larger scale. The heroes will tell the harrowing, true account of the events that took place when they fought back during the Battle of Benghazi, as featured in the book 13 Hours and the recent hit movie bearing the same name.

A moderator will interview the heroes, getting answers to the relevant questions that still surround the controversial stand off that left two Americans dead.

VIP/Sponsor packages are available and can be purchased by calling Jamie Denison at 806.776.0532. Individual tickets will be sold at any Select a Seat location starting next week.

Proceeds from this event benefit Southcrest Christian School who recently celebrated their 20th Anniversary. More than just a mascot, Southcrest is training WARRIORS.
