By Sunday afternoon, we will get some warmer air into the South Plains. As that ridge of high pressure stays put, highs will jump up into the low 60s. Lubbock will reach 62°. The Rolling Plains will see highs mainly into the mid & upper 60s. Wind is not looking to be an issue as of now, but it will likely stay at 10-15 mph, which isn’t too bad at all.
Early next week, things will cool off slightly. This is just the normal roller coaster ride that we get on this time of year. Even with the mostly sunny skies, we will see a high of 59° in Lubbock. So, that is not too bad at all.
