Former Texas Tech QB Davis Webb announced his transfer on Wednesday to the University of Colorado via social media.

Webb played in just five games for the Red Raiders in 2015, after Patrick Mahomes took over the starting duties in fall practice.

According to NCAA rules, Webb can play immediately for the Buffaloes because he’s graduating from Texas Tech in May.

The six-foot-five quarterback from Prosper, Tx., rejoins former Texas Tech Assistant Coach/Outside Receivers Coach Darrin Chiaverini at CU. Chiaverini, who is a Colorado alum, accepted the Co-Offensive Coordinator job at CU in December.
