The Canadian River Municipal Water Authority has been approved more than $1 million to continue repairs following a pipeline blowout earlier this month.

The blowout occurred just south of Fritch.

The CRMWA pipeline supples water to eleven member cities including Lubbock, Plainview, Levelland,

Brownfield, Slaton, Tahoka, O’Donnell and Lamesa.

Crews are surveying the entire pipeline network in hopes of preventing any future blowouts.

CRMWA officials said they expect to have all the network surveyed and pumping normally by April.

Residents are still asked to keep their water usage to a minimum.
