Happy Monday everyone! It has been a cloudy, cool and rainy day across the South Plains with highs remaining in the mid-40’s. Shower and thunderstorm chances will continue to become more widespread and increase in intensity over the next 36 hours. Tuesday we are under a Slight Risk for severe storms with large hail, damaging wind gusts and an isolated tornado threat expected. The time frame with the highest risk for these severe storms will be from 8PM until about 5AM on Wednesday. After this thunderstorm event ends, windy conditions will take over with blowing dust expected throughout the day on Wednesday. Temperatures will remain warm over the next few days with a cool down expected for the second half of the work week. Make sure to stay weather aware.
