Happy Thursday everyone! It has been a warm and cloudy day across the South Plains with highs sitting in the low 80’s. The warming trend will end today with highs dropping into the upper 70’s tomorrow. The low 70’s on Saturday and then the mid to upper 50’s on Sunday and Monday. Friday cloud cover will increase and we will watch for a small rain chance overnight and into Saturday morning. The on Saturday afternoon, sunshine will be abundant throughout the day with windy conditions expected. That means fire weather potential will be high throughout the day and this threat will continue throughout the first half of the weekend. Rain chances will return Monday and continue throughout Tuesday so keep your umbrellas handy!
