Update:
EverythingLubbock.com contacted the Plainview Police Department Saturday evening and was informed Katherine Catano and Joleen Hope Resendez had been found.

The officer did not provide us with any additional details, such as to their condition or location. 

According to unconfirmed reports on social media, the two were found near Laredo at a U.S. Customs and Border Protection checkpoint.

We will update this article as we receive more information and official confirmation of details.

Authorities are searching for a mother and daughter who went missing from Plainview earlier this week. 

According to Plainview Daily Herald, Katherine Catano and Joleen Hope Resendez were last seen leaving Catano’s parents home on Monday, February 25. 

The two were reported missing in the 800 block of Canyon Street, the newspaper said. 

They were last seen in a white Chevrolet Traverse with the license plate CK8Y554.

Cantano, 35, is described as a Hispanic female, 5′ 2″ tall, with brown eyes and brown hair, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Missing Persons Clearinghouse.

Resendez, 2, was only described as Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police told the newspaper they may be in the Dallas area with an individual who is in a relationship Catano. 

The Texas Department of Public Safety’s Missing Persons Clearinghouse lists both as endangered.
