Two people from Lamesa died in a crash Sunday afternoon, the Texas Department of Public Safety said on Tuesday.
DPS said Roger L. King, 58, of Lamesa was driving a pickup truck along State Highway 349 eighteen miles north of Midland. An 18-wheeler stopped for another vehicle in the roadway. DPS said King’s pickup truck hit the back of the 18-wheeler.
King was pronounced dead on the scene as was his passenger Wendy L. Caban, 53, of Lamesa.
Conditions were dry and clear, according to DPS.
