We all probably have that one teacher who helped us get through high school. But what happens if that teacher needs help?

One of the teachers at Richard Milburn Academy is trying to raise money because she needs knee surgery. And one of her long-time students is doing what she can, one stitch at a time.

Holly Clark is just 18-years-old, but already knows how important it is to help others. That’s why she said she is using her longtime hobby of crocheting to help her favorite teacher.

“She’s done so much good for me, so I wanted to give back to her,” Clark said.

Clark said she is crocheting beanies and selling them online. She said part of the profit will go to her teachers surgery funds.

“My mom always taught me the good you give out will always come back to you,” she said.

Right now, she said her teacher is having a hard time getting around and the co-pay for her surgery is expensive. So, Clark said she is doing what she can, one stitch at a time, to help her teacher.

“She’s given me so much good, she’s given others so much good and she’s finally getting it back,” Clark said. “I hope our bond never breaks and I don’t think it ever will.”

Clark’s mom also runs a bakery. She will donate part of her proceeds to the surgery fund as well. You can contact Nana’s Pie Kitchen here.
