Hockley County Sheriff Ray Scifres said they’ve been taking another look at the evidence surrounding a missing person’s case from 1993, after a new developments in the Jeannie Quinn murder case.
Sheriff Scifres said the person of interest named in Quinn’s murder case is also the person of interest in the disappearance of Stephanie Meeks Henderson.
56-year-old Ricky Don Henderson was married to Stephanie before she disappeared 25 years ago. Officials said they’ve had her case reopened for the last couple of months.
Wednesday afternoon, Abilene Police named Ricky Don Henderson a person of interest in the death of 20-year-old Jeannie Quinn.

Jeannie’s family is offering an $11,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest in the case. Quinn’s body was found in Abilene back in April, and Abilene Police said she had been riding in Henderson’s truck prior to her death.
“I can not emphasize enough that this was a brutal and vicious crime and no one should have to endure. We will not stop. We will continue to search for information as long as it takes,” said John Quinn, Jeannie’s uncle and godfather, “Instead of celebrating her birthday, we are here grieving and fighting for justice to make sure Jeannie does not become another statistic as her murderer remains out there walking the streets.”
