KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 9.26.18.

TODAY: This morning rainfall has left the South Plains soggy, with most areas seeing between 0.25″ to 1.00″, with isolated spots with nearly 2.00″. Plan for on and off showers to continue through the afternoon, and clearing out after dinner. The most intense rainfall fell overnight into this morning, but any additional accumulations will likely be 0.50″ but may eaasily cause flooding on already saturated ground. temperatures will be limited to the 50s for high temperatures, which is about 20 degrees below average.

TOMORROW: Thursday will start very cool in the 40s area-wide, but we will warm up to the mid 70s in the afternoon. The sky will be mostly sunny and winds will be southerly.

LOOKING AHEAD: The region rebounds quickly after our cold front, with 80s in the forecast by Friday. The low 80s continue through the weekend as well as sunshine.
