With the acquisition of Brice Butler, the Dallas Cowboys now have seven wide receivers on their roster.

Are they going to take Dak Prescott and/or Jason Garrett out to dinner for more balls thrown their way?

The Silver Star Nation’s Mickey Spagnola tells us the Boys don’t see that as a problem, but an opportunity:

That the Cowboys decided to bring back receiver Brice Butler was not a spur of the moment decision.  Cowboys vice president of player personnel Will McClay actually called Butler after the season opener, and said hey we are looking at you, be ready.

That’s when the Cowboys found out that Jacksonville and Washington were also after Brice Butler.  The Cowboys called him back after game two and said we want to bring and sign you.

And guess what, Butler out of a job after Arizona released him had no problem coming back to the team he left in free agency when he said if i’m not the starter I don’t want to stay.

When you’re out of a job you have no problems taking a job.

Cowboys head coach Jason Garret said the Cowboys have no problem with having seven wide receivers on the roster, and everybody is competing and looking for a job.

“Yeah again I dont think that’s a real challenge we’ll create competitive situations throughout our team. and when you have a lot of guys that a lot easier than when you don t have enough guys. so we’ll compete everyday in practice and see who’s available and who gives the best chance to play our best football on Sundays,” said Garrett.

So may the best man get on the game day 46-man roster.

The Cowboys face an 0-2 Seahawks team that has struggled and fell at the Chicago Bears Monday 24-17.

Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m. central time Sunday and the contest will be televised on FOX.
