Happy FINALLY Friday everyone! It has been another mild and sunny day across the South Plains with high temperatures staying in the mid to upper 80’s. Tomorrow this will all change as a weak front slides across the region. This will bring a 5-10 degree drop in temperatures and our next chance for rain. Storm chances will continue through Sunday but no severe weather is expected at this time. More sunshine and above average temperatures will return by the beginning of next week. Remember that it is important to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, don’t forget about your pets outdoors – bring them inside during peak heating hours and make sure that they are staying hydrated as well.
