Family members of terminally-ill cancer patients are likely to develop mental or physical health problems, according to a study in the journal “Palliative Medicine.” It found 83% of these caregivers suffer significant issues compared to 15% of the general population. The survey measured the health of 1,500 people who took care of loved ones in their final three months of life. 

Pain is the main reason patients with osteoarthritis seek medical care. A report in the publication “Arthritis Care and Research” samples the opinions of three-thousand patients. It found insomnia and depression also lead to frequent trips to the doctor’s office. 

If you drink alcohol from time to time, you may be at a higher risk of heart disease compared to those who drink consistently. That was according to a study published in “BMC Medicine” examined the health of 35,000 moderate drinkers over ten years.
