Nicole Baxter has been named director of the Lubbock-Cooper High School “Pirate Pride” band. Baxter was promoted to this position after serving three years as assistant band director at LCHS.
Baxter is a native of Wichita Falls and a graduate of Texas Tech University. This is her seventh year in public education, also serving as band director and assistant band director at Lubbock-Cooper Laura Bush Middle School and Archer City ISD, respectively.
“After student teaching at Lubbock-Cooper, I knew this was the place I wanted to call home,” Baxter said. “I’ve loved watching this band program grow, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. We will continue to pursue excellence in all that we do, and will hopefully continue to grow our Pirate Pride band family.”
