Lubbock Fire responded to a house fire shortly before 7 p.m. on Saturday evening. When crews arrived, the roof of the home was on fire. That fire extended into the attic above a back bedroom.
The interior of the house didn’t suffer from flames but does have smoke damage. Two adults have been displaced from the fire.
The reporting party said he had been welding on a back porch cover. The fire was ruled accidental.
