The warmest day this week is unfortunately going to be on Independence Day. We’ll be seeing a sunny day with no clouds to help shade us from the sunshine. So, be safe as you head out for the holiday celebrations. Stay hydrated and have your sunscreen ready to go. Lubbock is going to see a high temperature of 99°, with light wind. So, it is going to feel much warmer than it actually is.

The drop in high temperatures will begin as we move into the day Thursday. That will be very nice, especially with light wind. We’ll expect to start the day with a low temperature of 74°. The afternoon will be mostly sunny, with wind at 5-10 mph and a high temperature reaching 91°. That is actually below the average high for this time of year.
