The Lubbock Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon in Central Lubbock.
The incident was reported in the area of 3rd Street and Detroit Avenue just after 3:00 p.m.
LPD said when officers arrived on scene, they found one victim with a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported by ambulance from the scene to University Medical Center.
Police also told EverythingLubbock.com the injury did not appear to be life-threatening.
The victim has not been identified and the shooting remains under investigation
