It was so nice to get more rain here in Lubbock yesterday. We did get some hail across the metro, but that is common when we get storms this time of year. That system has pushed out to the east and we are seeing calm weather to start the day. This afternoon will see sunny skies, with wind 10-20 mph from the south. That will help to get us to a high temperature of 95°. I can’t rule out an isolated storm east of Lubbock at 10%.

Overnight, the wind is going to remain elevated at 10-15 mph. Skies will remain clear and the low temperature is going to be held at 63°. The rest of Saturday will be dry and warm. Wind will be from the south-southwest at 10-15 mph bringing in dry air. So you can get outside without worrying about seeing storms on Saturday. Under sunny skies, we will climb up to a high temperature of 96°. A cold front will move in during the evening and overnight. That is going to bring in isolated storms and drop highs on Sunday.
