Covered S Ranch, located about 20 miles outside of Post, was purchased by CT Land and Cattle Company in 2003.
“We thought about changing it (the name), but it’s on everything and it’s such a big land mark,” Sam Pharies, ranch manager at CT Land and Cattle Company, said.
The ranch sits on approximately 23,013 acres. The land is surrounded by hills, wind turbines and wildlife.
“We have about 800 mama cows, 60 bulls and 25 horses. We have deer, bobcats, pretty much anything in this area you can think of, we have it,” Pharies said.
Pharies said they are currently building a public roping event arena and a retreat called the “Hacienda” for people to come and stay at.
“Once the Hacienda is complete, we will have big retreats and hunting out of the helicopters,” Pharies said.
The Hacienda is expected to be finished early 2019.
