The following is a news release from Texas Tech University:

Texas Tech University’s commitment to providing high-quality online education has received nationwide attention. TheBestSchools.org recently ranked Texas Tech’s doctorate of education in higher education as No. 2 on the list of The 10 Best Online Doctorate in Educational Administration Degree Programs.

The list ranked the 10 best universities in the nation that offer online doctor of education (Ed.D.) and doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in educational administration. The list is based on the quality of the program, the types of courses offered, the faculty, rankings, awards and reputation, including the school’s reputation for effectively providing online degree programs.

“Texas Tech has developed top-quality online and distance doctoral programs, as an institution we offer more online or hybrid doctoral programs than other four-year institutions of comparable size in Texas,” said Justin Louder, associate vice provost for eLearning & Academic Partnerships. “This ranking showcases Texas Tech’s commitment to online learning at every level, including at the doctoral level. The faculty and staff involved in the online educational administration program are highly engaged and provide first-rate distance education to our distance students.”
