Texas Tech fans packed the United Supermarkets Arena Tuesday night to watch the Red Raiders big win against the Sooners.

A spokesperson for the University said the team’s recent wins on the court, go on to benefit the entire campus.

“That’s something that Athletics gives you that you just can’t put a value on, is the opportunities for exposure,” Chris Cook said.

He added, it goes beyond just basketball wins. With Texas Tech having four spring sports programs ranked in the top 10, they hope the national recognition continues.

“We are doing well in admissions and with our applications anyway, but any good positive things that you have going on, especially things that are amplified like athletics, definitely don’t hurt,” Cook said.
