The following is a press release from the City of Lubbock:
Beginning Monday, February 5th, Lone Star Dirt and Paving, under contract with the City of Lubbock, will begin an asphalt and concrete paving improvement project on Iola Avenue.
These improvements will be conducted on Iola Avenue from 66th Street to 82nd Street. Included in this project is the repaving of the outside (next to curb), westbound lane of 82nd Street at Iola Avenue. Expect traffic control and lane closures for westbound flow on 82nd Street at Iola Avenue. Detours will be made available to residents inside the neighborhood and all other traffic is recommended to find alternate routes.
Motorists are urged to allow extra time for delays or to find alternate routes. This work will take approximately three to four weeks to complete depending upon weather and construction.
