Some Lubbock Uber drivers want to warn the public that taking an Uber to the Emergency Room isn’t the best option.
“We have nothing to save their life if we have to. The only thing we can do is jump out and call 911,” Rick Taylor, a Lubbock Uber Driver said.
Taylor said several drivers agree that they’ve noticed this trend happening more and more often.
“We are cheaper than an ambulance but we’d rather not be put in the position of needing to call an ambulance while on the way to the hospital,” Brady Howell, a Lubbock Uber Driver.
Covenant Medical Center encourages patients if you are suffering from a serious illness to get an ambulance.
