For the second consecutive year the Borden County Coyotes scored 60 points in the 1A Division 1 State Championship game.  And for the second straight year, they beat the Jonesboro Eagles…this year to the tune of 60-22.  Nick Proulx was the offensive MVP as he racked up 251 yards on eleven carries and three touchdowns.  Most of those yards came in the first half as the Coyotes battled from behind to take a 24-22 lead into the locker.  The second half the Borden County defense went to work, shutting out the Eagles while the offense added 36 more points.  This is the fifth title for Borden County in seven championship game appearances.
