We’re looking at another calm start to the day. There are no clouds out there and the wind is light. So, things are getting cold to the northwest. The air mass in place is from the cold front that moved in yesterday evening and overnight. We were spoiled with a warm one on Monday, but today will see lower high temperatures. The sunshine and dry air will stick around, as Lubbock will make it up to a high temperature of 60°. Wind will remain light today.
Overnight, we’re going to see clear skies and light wind again. So, things will be cold again on Wednesday morning. We’ll start out with a low of 32°, low 20s up on the higher terrain in the northwestern counties. The afternoon is going to be sunny and warmer. The flow pattern will shift to the west, so that will bring in warmer air to the region. Lubbock is going to see a high temperature of 66°, nearly ten degrees above average.
