The Texas Department of Public Safety released information on Friday about a deadly crash near Levelland. DPS said Deborah Thomas, 64, of Morton was killed.
DPS said Thomas was driving a Hyundai westbound on Ellis Street approaching the intersection of Farm to Market Road 1490. DPS said Aldaco Gaspar, 31, of Levelland was driving a Chevy S10 pickup truck southbound on FM 1490.
DPS said the crash was Wednesday at about 5:00 pm.
“The Hyundai disregarded the stop sign at the intersection,” DPS said. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene and Gaspar was not injured, according to DPS.
DPS did not say if either driver was using a seat belt. There was also no mention of citations or charges in the DPS statement.
