The Lubbock Community Theatre begins its run of Anne of the Green Gables. Local playwright Sylvia Ashby adapted the novel to the stage. The next Marvel heavy hitter crashes into theaters this weekend.The superhero finds himself imprisoned, without his hammer, in Thor: Ragnarok. As he struggles to save his civilization, he has to fight a former ally and overcome the goddess of death. It’s rated PG-13 and runs a little longer than two hours.
